New Plan Based on People

What's Retiring & When?

Transition to Named User

Autodesk is launching new plans that are based on people and retiring plans based on serial numbers.

Named user 1
The new changes make it easy to manage users and remove the pain we have today managing multiple deployment types and serial numbers.  When everyone is a named user, their company will unlock new benefits:

Opportunity to optimize licensing costs: Instead of not knowing which users are using which products, usage data and user details help customers make the right investment decisions for their company.
benefit 1

Increased productivity: Instead of users losing access to products when all licenses are checked out, each user has dedicated access to the products they need.
benefit 2

Reduced IT costs and burden: Instead of managing network servers and tracking serial numbers for compliance, all licenses are managed by Autodesk and assigned to person.
benefit 3

Multi-user access and Maintenance Plan

These new plans for named users will replace those based on serial numbers.  And then, Maintenance plan and Subscriptions with multi-user access and will all retire on 7 Aug 2021.  Moreover, renewal cannot be processed after this date.
