Bamboo

Bamboo is a Rhinoceros Plug-In for the development of 2 and 4 axis WireEDM toolpaths, starting from 2D profiles, 2 synchronized profiles or 3D models (solid/surface). Bamboo includes several post-processors for the most commonly used WireEDM machines.
Bamboo can generate WireEDM toolpath for laser cut, oxygen-flame cut and also waterjet cut. Bamboo also able to manage pocketing.
* Bamboo is a plug-in that is completely integrated in Rhino 3.0 and requires
Rhino 3.0 to be installed in order for it to run. It is not a standalone application.

The main features of Bamboo includes :
- Toolpath creation starting from a drawing imported from other CAD/CAM systems, profile or solid creation (to be machined).
- 2 axis cutting can be carried out with automatic strategies that manage several phases with the relevant technology for roughing, semifinishing, finishing and swarf cutting.
- Double swarf, unloaded plate cutting and automatic creation of plugholes on cavity edges can be dealt with.
- Draft angle features enable construction of 3D models starting from a 2D profile.
- Easy-to-use user interface based on a toolbar integrated within the Rhinoceros graphic environment.

Rhino Evaluation
|
|
Bamboo requires Rhinoceros 3.0 to run. If you do not have Rhinoceros 3.0, you can download an evaluation version of it here.

The evaluation version will save 25 times. After that it is still functional except it will not save. The evaluation version also supports plug-ins.
